Veeam100 Summit in Prague

I had the honor of attending the Veeam100Summit for the first time from October 30th to November 2nd. This event focuses on content sharing and gathers technicians from around the world that have been selected by Veeam for their expertise in the three expert programs Legend, Vanguard and MVP.
Since I am an accredited member of the Veeam Legend program, I was very excited to fly to Prague for these three days of full immersion. During this time, we were able to get a preview of some of the features that will be coming out with the upcoming 12.1 release.
Although I was a fish out of water with only a handful of people I knew, I was warmly welcomed by the leaders of the three expert programs.

Veeam values its Veeam community and this was evident on Monday morning when the session began with Rick Vanover, Safiya Mohamed , Madalina Cristil, Nikola Pejková , Hannes Kasparick e Fabian Kessler expressing their gratitude and praise for those of us who dedicate so much time to the growth of the Veeam community, both in terms of numbers and technical advancements. Each of the attendees really felt like they were part of the Veeam world because of their affiliation.
I was also lucky enough to be included in the Sunday session where we had a series of labs that deepened our understanding of the containers and backup capabilities that boxes provide.
Monday and Tuesday, however, were a series of sessions, of which I am only going to cover the major topics to keep things simple, but I can assure you that there is some big news to report.

Everything concluded with an amazing night, starting with the closing dinner and ending with an amazing after-dinner party.

Having said that, I would like to thank Danilo Chiavari for being my mentor and for introducing me to many of his colleagues, Safiya and Madalina for curating our Veeam Legend program, Paolo Valsecchi and Andrea Mauro for integrating us into the various groups. I was lucky enough to meet Marco Sorrentino, with whom I shared these days of experiences and regretted that the other Italian Legend, Marco Fabbri, was not present.
And, of course, to all those involved in organizing this great event.
I certainly returned home more aware, having learned a lot from the sessions but also from sharing experiences with great technicians.
See you soon.
